Pray Central Florida: praying for Central Florida

and encouraging the Church in Central Florida to pray.

We have been praying for our Central Florida area since March of 1996. The Lord has used Pray Central Florida to initiate or significantly encourage Prayerwalk Central Florida, Concerts of Prayer, Central Florida Prayer Wall, prayer in the jails and several other prayer initiatives. Our newsletter seeks to encourage prayer for our area and to bless and promote all prayer ministries in the area. It serves the praying church by providing information on most city wide prayer events.

PRAY CENTRAL FLORIDA JAIL MINISTRY

We have teams of people ministering in the Orange and Seminole County jails. We started at Orange County in October of 2001 and at Seminole County in December of 2002. We teach 11 groups of men, women and juveniles on prayer and experiencing the presence of God and then we spend time in God’s presence, allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to our hearts. People are saved, healed emotionally and physically, equipped and encouraged to be the Body of Christ in their jail. We have a particular need of more men to join our ministry teams. We minister in multi-denominational (Christian), multi-racial and multi-gender teams so no matter who you are this is a great way to learn or progress in ministry. No jail experience is necessary but you must be between 18 and 90, have a solid walk with the Lord and be teachable. Ladies must be 40+ to minister in the men’s meetings. The Pray Central Florida Jail Ministry has provided basketball shoes for juvenile inmates.
